Final touches were put on his room yesterday and here are the photos:
- Towels with soap, mouthwash and shower gel ( he must be staying in a hotel)
- Mint on his pillow
- We added pictures to the new picture frames
- A breakfast tray on his bed with a Welcome Ogham stone.
Hey Dad before you get any ideas the breakfast tray is for you to give me breakfast in bed! lol lol :-)
As an explanation to the non Irish who will read by blog. Ogham is the oldest form of Irish writing, it is read from the bottom up. The inscription on this oghma stone read Failte meaning Welcome. It is made up of strokes positioned in various ways along a central line. It was often places in sacred areas and are believed to be ritual stones.
The soup is simmering on the stove and the electric blanket is warming his bed is case he wants a nap.
I am so looking forward to Dads arrival and I am not ashamed to say that I am ready to be Princess Leona for the next two weeks. I have been his princess from the day I was born as I am his one and only little girl and I wouldn't change it for the world.
